Hanano‑Yu in Nakagyō‑ku, Kyoto, is a beloved “super sentō” offering a warm, Showa‑era atmosphere popular with both locals and visitors. The facility features 12 different hot spring experiences—including open‑air rock baths, Goemon pots, Jacuzzis, steam saunas, and jet baths—served by natural spring water drawn from over 1,200 m underground in nearby Shiga Prefecture .
Decorated with a hand‑painted Mount Fuji mural in the women’s bath and accented by glowing green lights in the medicinal bath, Hanano‑Yu combines charm and relaxation in a home‑like setting.

I love going to local places. This was clean, hygienic, incredibly affordable and full of Japanese bathers. Everything is in Japanese but people help you figure it out. I would highly recommend it
