Jizo no Yu

Jizo no Yu is a traditional public bathhouse located in the heart of Kusatsu Onsen, Gunma Prefecture. Situated just a two-minute walk from the iconic Yubatake hot water fields, this facility offers visitors an authentic and rustic onsen experience.

The bathhouse features a simple wooden structure with a combined changing and bathing area, reflecting the traditional design of communal baths.

The hot spring water at Jizo no Yu is sourced from the Jizo spring, known for its therapeutic properties. The bath temperature is typically around 42°C, providing a soothing and relaxing experience.

There is also a free footbath (ashinoyu) located outside the entrance, allowing visitors to enjoy the healing waters even without entering the main bathhouse .
