Fukiage Onsen Rotenburo

First time I came was in 2022 winter. Then in 2024 winter and now for 5 days in winter 2025. Always plenty of snow, beautiful nature, peaceful hot spring, nice meeting with local and foreigners.

It was the first time in 10 years that I was immersed in the open-air bath at Fukiage. There are two tubs, one above and one below. The dressing room is on a stone under a blue sky, and it is a little harsh on women because it is fully visible from the outside? This time, I parked one car in the evening and passed my predecessors on the way to solitary spring. It is a hot and pleasant hot spring that you can bathe for free.

I only seen a total of 4 people while I visited. Access was easy short walk from the carpark. The smaller bath was too hot but the larger bath was just right. The perfect way to relax on a cold day. I could not see any toilets nearby wish I had of gone before driving up.
