Kounoyu Onsen

Kōno-Yu is the oldest bathhouse in Kinosaki Onsen, Hyōgo Prefecture, steeped in legend and tradition. According to folklore, its hot spring waters were discovered when an Oriental White Stork healed its wounds in the thermal waters, symbolizing rejuvenation and longevity.

Located near the Kinosaki Ropeway entrance, Kōno-Yu offers a tranquil retreat away from the town's bustling center. The bathhouse features both indoor and outdoor baths, with the open-air bath surrounded by lush greenery, providing a serene atmosphere for relaxation.​
